I have submitted two beautiful pieces of artwork to the
"Artists Inspiring Hope and Healing" Auction
I and over 28 local artists have been creating beautiful art pieces with the women and children, facing violence in our community, in our hearts and minds. I have created two works of art that are ready to hang on the walls of the existing and soon-to-be expanded space at Optimism Place Women's Shelter, here in Stratford.
Work purchased through the auction will find its place on the walls at Optimism Place!
A purchase that YOU make is a donation of this art piece to Optimism Place, so you will receive a charitable tax receipt. Instead of this artwork hanging in your home, it will hang at Optimism Place where the work will encourage calm, healing, positivit,y and joy. Your name as the donor will be on a small plaque beside the artwork.
I am thrilled to have earned my
Master Pastel Artist

Second Place Award
for my pastel
"A Carpenter's Tools"
I am thrilled to announce that I have received Second Place in the
31st Annual Purely Pastel Exhibition and Competition
hosted by Pastel Artists of Canada!
My father, like his own father, was a carpenter by trade. Dad carried my grandfather's old plane and scribe with him in his suitcase when he emigrated to Canada from Ireland back in 1956. The plane’s wood is smooth from the touch of his and his father's hand as they worked their craft. It is nicked and worn and a very special reminder of my father and the art of carpentry that he practiced.
I am thrilled to announce that I have won an Honourable Mention Award for
"A Twist in the Night"
in the 9th Annual
Members Pastel Artists.Ca

This award earns me my
Master Pastel Artist
